Gymnastics

Lone Mountain is an official member club of USA Gymnastics, offering pre-school movement and gymnastics classes through our boys and girls recreational and competitive programs. Lone Mountain follows USA Gymnastics’ curriculum recommendations for pre-school movement and development classes as well as skill progressions from recreational level 1 through competitive level 10. Students are initially placed into our classes by age, but through their individual progress, are placed into classes according to ability. We are committed to providing a fun, safety conscious and engaging learning environment for kids of all ages and abilities. We believe in developing physical and social skills through challenges and successes within our programs. Individual accomplishments and recognition for those accomplishments help to generate confidence and self-esteem. Lone Mountain seeks to create a positive, pro-active and supportive atmosphere for all our students. Here at Lone Mountain Gymnastics and Swim School, we believe learning, at all levels, should be fun!

Gymnastics instruction helps develop better coordination and body awareness. For young children, interacting with their surroundings is mostly physical in their early years. Gymnastics provides them with the skills to interact with their environment in ways that other children cannot.

Movement Mania

12 Months-2 Years

A great environment designed to encourage all types of movement including walking, running, jumping, swinging and climbing!  Each child is accompanied by an encouraging adult.  Teachers assist with ideas and appropriate movement activities for each child. The gym provides so many opportunities to move, move, move without the bulk of winter coats, pants, and boots!  We use gymnastics equipment to encourage gross motor movement with multiple gymnastics based, movement themed circuits to explore.

  • 30 Minute Class

  • Ages 12 months (walking) - 2 years

  • Child needs an encouraging adult to accompany them during class

Jumpers and Bumpers is a fantastic class for children who are more comfortable moving but still need the one-on-one direction from an adult.  Still a parent participation class, students participate in movement themed circuits based on developmental gymnastics skills that encourage gross motor development.  Each class ends with child-directed play revisiting favorite class activities.

  • 45 Minute Class

  • Ages 2 - 3 1/2 Years

  • Child needs an encouraging adult to accompany them during class

GymKids

3-5 Years

Our GymKids classes are designed to be a fun introduction to gymnastics. Understanding that this may be your child's first class experience on their own, our staff works hard to create an inviting, fun and supportive environment. Developmentally based movement gymnastics circuits help teach basic gymnastics skills, body positions, coordination and strength. Students are grouped in class to meet their individual physical and emotional needs. Our goal is for our students to have a fun learning experience while teaching developmental gymnastics.

  • 45 minute class

  • Ages 3 -5 years (must be able to use the bathroom independently)

  • Must be willing to participate without a parent

6-13 Years

Beginner

Lone Mountain offers recreational trampoline classes for both boys and girls, beginners through advanced students, looking to increase their body awareness and skills. Our classes teach trampoline safety, along with both on and off axis flipping and twisting through the use of drills and progressions. For our beginners, front and back flips are the goal. However, without exception, we will always start with easier drills and skills, enhancing mental and physical preparedness for flipping with more control and awareness than just "going for it." For our more advanced students, our teachers break down harder skills into smaller parts, allowing more awareness for the desired skill to be acquired in a safer fashion than, once again, "just going for it." Our classes are fun and full of exercise!
