Swimming

2011-2012 Swimming Schedule

Due to our small class sizes, Lone Mountain Swim School is able to individually challenge each student with proper swimming techniques while having fun in the water.

Children are initially placed in classes by age, but are quickly assessed and placed according to ability
thereafter.  Lone Mountain uses a progression based learning system.  Each student will be working toward specific milestones every lesson.  The following are the specific classes offered:

Waterbabies: 6 months - 3 years
Waterjumpers: 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 years
Swim Kids: 3 -12 years
Advanced Swim Kids: 8 years and up; by evaluation

The indoor pool is 30' x 50' with depths from 32" to 5'.  It is a salt water chlorination pool, which means that chlorine is not added directly to the pool.  Rather, salt generates the chlorine naturally, making swimming much easier on the skin. The pool temperature is kept at 88 degrees.

Lone Mountain Swim School believes that swimming and its associated benefits should be enjoyed by everyone, and therefore, strives to  provide a fun and educational experience in a safe program.  We believe in developing physical and social skills through a challenging and success-oriented program, generating confidence and self-esteem.  Lone Mountain seeks to create a positive, proactive and supportive atmosphere, allowing children to enjoy their water experience from day one.  We will never force a child into the water; instead, if there is hesitation, we will encourage your child to watch and participate when he or she is comfortable and ready.

Pool Temperature is 88º!
